Experience Required: 8–15 years in RMC plant operations (preferably in real estate/construction)
Job Purpose:
To manage and oversee the complete operations of the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plant, ensuring timely production, quality control, equipment maintenance, and cost-effective operations to meet construction site demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the RMC plant, including batching, mixing, dispatching, and maintenance.
- Plan and schedule daily production as per construction project requirements.
- Ensure timely supply of quality concrete to project sites with minimal delays.
- Monitor plant equipment and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure quality standards of concrete through effective QC procedures and lab testing.
- Manage inventory of raw materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, and admixtures.
- Maintain plant documentation including production logs, delivery records, calibration reports, and stock registers.
- Coordinate with procurement, project engineers, and logistics for smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations at the plant.
- Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Supervise plant staff, operators, and drivers, ensuring high levels of discipline, training, and motivation.
- Minimize wastage, control fuel consumption, and reduce overall production cost.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers, service technicians, and calibration agencies as needed.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of RMC production processes, batching systems, and equipment.
- Familiarity with M20 to M60 grade concrete and various admixture types.
- Strong understanding of quality control protocols and test procedures for concrete.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Capable of troubleshooting mechanical and operational plant issues.
- Safety-conscious and process-driven.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
- Additional training or certification in plant operations or quality management (preferred)
